Baptism
Jesus' final instructions to His disciples in Matthew 28:16-20
and again in Mark 16:15-20 told them to go, preach the good news,
make disciples of all nations, and baptize them in the name of the
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything He
commanded. He, Himself, modeled baptism as He entered the Jordan
river to be baptized by John upon beginning His ministry years.
There has been much discussion among believers as to the place of
baptism in salvation. I think the evil one continues to fuel this
situation in order to divide Christians. The question is not "Does
baptism save us?" The question is "Why would anyone chose
to do less than our Savior, the Son of God?" by not eagerly
submitting to His example of baptism?
